Q: Will there be food and beverages at the welcome party?
A: Yes, we will have heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar with cocktails, wine, and beer. We encourage you to plan dinner either before or after the event.
Q: What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?
A: Black-tie is preferred. Additional considerations - our ceremony will be outdoors and the reception has both indoor and outdoor areas. The weather in New Orleans in early March is typically mild, with daily highs in the upper 60's to mid-70's, with lows in the mid-50's.
For the ladies: Floor-length gowns or formal jump suits are preferred. We encourage you to embrace the New Orleans vibes with colors and prints. Footwear should be dressy but practical. The outdoor areas, including the dance floor, are paved in stone and can be uneven in certain places.
For the gentlemen: A classic tuxedo is preferred, but a dark colored suit is a great option as well.
Q: Will I get to select an option for dinner? A: Dinner will be served New Orleans-style which will feature of spread of regional classics in a relaxed, self-serve format for a more lively, social dining experience. While everyone will have a place to sit, there will be no assigned seating. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests.
